艺术家简介
曹雅薇，1980年生于湖北，现居北京与大湾区。她先后毕业于中国地质大学（武汉）与北京大学，分获本科及硕士学位。其创作跨越装置、雕塑、水墨与数字影像等多种媒介，以紫色星球 Purple Planet为核心展开。
她的作品不依赖强烈的叙事或外在张力，而以柔性的力量自然呈现。紫色与矿晶不断出现，成为一种持续的频率。
其作品曾在北京、上海、青岛、香港及威尼斯等地展出，并与嘉德艺术中心、保利当代艺术等机构开展艺术合作与项目实践。
Yawei CAO (b. 1980, Hubei, China) is based in Beijing and the Greater Bay Area. She graduated from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and Peking University, receiving her B.A. and M.A. Her practice spans installation, sculpture, ink, and digital media, centered on Purple Planet.
Her work does not rely on strong narrative or external tension, but unfolds through a softer force. Purple and minerals recur throughout her work as a persistent frequency.
Her work has been exhibited in Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao, Hong Kong, and Venice, and she has collaborated with institutions including Guardian Art Center and Poly Contemporary Art.
